Transfer your licence for Magnum Opus to a new machine

If it becomes infeasible to use Magnum Opus on the original computer, we will transfer a licence for the current version to another machine at no charge.  We reserve the right to limit these licence transfers to once only.

If you have a licence for an older version of Magnum Opus (that is, a licence purchased before April 18, 2009), you must upgrade your licence before it can be transferred.  To do so, you may simply fill in the form below and we will issue you with an appropriate upgrade request form.

Please see our policies and the notes beside the items for further important details.  Click Request Transfer when the information is complete. 

You should hear from us within one business day of submitting the order, subject to time zones.  If not, please contact support@giwebb.com. As soon as any payment arrangements have been completed, we will send you a licence ID and instructions for transferring the software.

Licensed Computer Name:

The form asks you to name the computer on which the software will be installed (the licensed computer).

• On Linux/Solaris systems the computer name is obtained by the command "hostname".
• On Windows 2000/XP it appears under the "Computer Name" or "Network Identification" tab of the "System" icon in the Control Panel.
• For Windows Vista and Windows 7, click "Start", "Computer", and "Properties" to see the computer name.

Email Address:

The email address specifies where we should send the instructions for downloading the software and the licence ID that is needed to activate it.  This must be the same email address as the one to which the original licence code was issued.

Unless required by law, we will not divulge your email address to any other person or organization.

Software delivery

All software is delivered by download from the internet. Licence IDs and downloading instructions will be sent to the email address specified on the order form, normally within one business day.
